Phase 1 of The Delivery Reset starts with a simple SUP process - State the problem, Understand it properly, then Plan based on what’s actually true. But the real value sits underneath. It’s the way people feel heard again, the pressure that eases when the noise lifts, and the confidence that returns when the picture finally makes sense. These are the shifts that make Phase 2 work.

I was talking to someone recently who told me AI will soon build better relationships than humans. Not help with them. Actually build them. And I get why people think that. AI doesn’t get tired, or moody, or stressed. It doesn’t bring baggage from one conversation into the next. If all you needed for a strong relationship was consistency, then yes, the idea starts to make sense. The reason we started Coordinated Solutions is because we know it won’t.

The answer is Yes…. Most of the time without realising it.

When I work with small and medium sized businesses, there’s a familiar pattern that shows up.
If I ask whether they run projects, the answer is usually no.
If I ask them to walk me through what they’re working on, suddenly the list gets longer.

A software upgrade.
A push into a new market.
A small rebrand.
A hiring plan.
A change in how they handle customer onboarding.
A new way of tracking their operations.

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how we describe what we do at Coordinated Solutions over the Christmas and New Year break.

The easiest label is project management consultancy. It’s familiar and people understand it. But it never quite captures how projects actually work in practice, or why they succeed or struggle.

This one feels a bit surreal to write.

Coordinated Solutions hasn’t been around that long, so to already be recognised as Best Project Management Consultancy 2025 is a big moment for me. Not in a loud, celebratory way… more in a “blimey, that’s actually happened” way.

Coming to the Skills Symposium as a new Provider Member of NSAN took me right back to the start of my project management journey, a young 21-year-old heading out into the New Mexico desert to deliver my first projects for URENCO. Those memories quickly resurfaced, the initial trepidation of visiting an enrichment facility for the very first time, armed with little understanding of exactly what was going on or whether there were any risks involved.
